A visit to the Oskar Reinhart Collection "Am Römerholz" is almost a must for true art fans when in Winterthur. This is because the villa of the former Winterthur art collector Oskar Reinhart is located in the middle of a beautiful park, where the former home of the patron Oskar Reinhart, who died in 1965, blends in perfectly. The villa and the historic park with its sculptures combine with the collection to create a small but impressive work of art. The villa houses more than 200 paintings, drawings and sculptures of European art of exceptional quality. It is one of the most important private collections of the 20th century. It includes paintings of French Impressionism and its immediate predecessors, complemented by important examples of older art. Renoir, Cézanne, Daumier and Courbet are represented with large groups of works.
