House of Winterthur
Location marketing for the region

House of Winterthur was created in 2017 from the merger of "Standortförderung Region Winterthur" and "Winterthur Tourismus". A team of around 20 employees showcases Winterthur's advantages as a dynamic economic region, practice-oriented educational center, relaxed tourist destination and outstanding cultural city. House of Winterthur thus promotes Winterthur as a business location, business development and tourism marketing for the entire Winterthur region.

House of Winterthur is organized as an association and is supported by over 400 members. Around a quarter of the costs are borne by the city of Winterthur on the basis of a service agreement. The Canton of Zurich, the City of Illnau-Effretikon and the municipalities in the region also contribute to the costs. The income generated by the hotels through the City Tax also flows to House of Winterthur. Other important donors are the member companies. Finally, House of Winterthur generates around a quarter of its income itself by selling tourist services and regional products in the store at the main railway station.
