6 cool clubs to party in Winterthur

Winterthur's club scene is manageable yet surprisingly diverse: shake to trendy beats in style, sway along to an easygoing indie concert or rave the night away in a hip electro club. It's up to you!

Salt house - the alternative

The legendary 90s party that is always sold out. The popular Billie Geilish format, where only music by women, non-binary and trans people is played. In addition to concerts by Swiss artists such as Phenomden, Pablo Nouvelle and Stereo Luchs, the locally named "Salzi" is also frequently visited by international stars. The cultural venue in the former salt warehouse has been around since 1996. From Winterthur train station, you only have to turn around once and you're there. Or come here by bike, as is the "Winterthur way".

Granary - the Hippe

Electro, house or techno: there's always something to celebrate in this small but excellent dance club. You, life and good music. National and international DJs get the dance-loving crowd going with their unconventional sets. You'll feel right at home in the cozy, hip club. Because the velvety Brocki sofa is the perfect place to sit out and relax for a while. Especially during parties that go on until the clouds turn purple again. Luckily, the train station is just around the corner.

Albani - the cult figure

A bar during the day. A club in the evening. And "the" club in the middle of the old town on the iconic Steinberggasse. Hotel included. Since 1988, the small, intimate Albani stage has hosted performances by big, legendary and local artists. Here you can also discover newcomer bands and real insider tips. A colorful mix of musical styles with up-close encounters. Up on the wooden grandstand, you have everything in view in case it gets a little too crowded for you "downstairs" in the dancing party crowd.

Bolero - the chic one

There's always something going on here. So if you feel like partying and dancing again: The Bolero is always on. The name says it all. Bolero is a southern dance. A lifestyle. Love, lust and passion. That pretty much sums up the atmosphere in the club with several dance floors on 1,000 square meters. In 2001, the old goods shed was transformed into an "in-location" with an extraordinary ambience - from club to lobby to lounge. Party until the last song when the lights come back on.

Force field - the rebel

Kraftfeld has been located in the middle of the lively Sulzerareal on Lagerplatz for over 25 years. The first address for (un)discovered guitar bands, independent rap, electronic avant-garde, weird formats to join in and parties against the mainstream. Heineken and co. are banned here. With a deliberately local selection of bars, it's simply better to raise a glass and the furnishings made from salvaged industrial goods create a stylish ambience. How about a round around the ping-pong table or at the pinball table?

Gaswerk - the creative one

The cultural center in the former electricity distribution center in Töss attracts young and young-at-heart music fans, culture enthusiasts and artists. Local, national and international acts from various genres play on the concert stage. In addition to the stage, there are also studios for creative work or rehearsals for theater groups or bands. The "Kino Nische", theater performances, musicals and parties are the colorful icing on the cake of the indispensable Gaswerk.
