"We appreciate the good cooperation with our numerous partners"

On September 7 and 8, 2022, the Swiss Green Economy Symposium, Switzerland's most comprehensive conference on business and sustainability, will once again take place in Winterthur. We asked the organizing team three questions to find out what visitors can look forward to.

What does the annual Swiss Green Economy Symposium (SGES) like about Winterthur?
Since 2014, we have appreciated the exceptionally good and hospitable cooperation with the numerous partners from business, politics and authorities, science and civil society. To name just a few: A777, Büro für Ereignisse, Casino Theater Winterthur, Energie bewegt Winterthur, Composites United Switzerland, Club of Rome, Winterthur Chamber of Commerce, House of Winterthur, Inno Recycling, Mobiliar Winterthur, Park Hotel Winterthur, Raiffeisenbank Winterthur, Rohner & Spiller, Swiss Association for Standardization Sulzer Chemtech, SWICA Health Insurance, City of Winterthur, Technopark Winterthur, Toggenburger, Theater Winterthur or the ZHAW.

What kind of visitors are expected at the event?
The Swiss Green Economy Symposium has been bringing together decision-makers, innovators and implementers as an independent and neutral platform since 2013. They come from business, politics, science and civil society. Sustainable development with its economic, social and ecological goals requires constructive and critical dialog and the innovative power of all forces.

What are the highlights of the symposium?
The special highlight of the SGES is the comprehensive diversity that is increasingly unfolding in collaboration with the many partners. The two-day SGES covers a wide range of topics in line with the UN's 17 global sustainability goals: Among others, everything revolves around construction & real estate, digitalization, diversity, energy, financing & investing, health, climate, communication, creative and cultural industries, circular economy, plastics, supply and value chains, logistics, mobility, food, resources or smart cities. We are very much looking forward to the innovation forums on health and the circular economy, sustainable aviation and airports, the cultural evening and the joint program section with the Club of Rome. For the SGES, every participant and every organization that gets involved is a highlight.
