"Grandiose failure has just as much place in our cooking pots as culinary flights of fancy"

In the AtelierFoif cooking studio in a former locksmith's workshop, people cook together. It is a place to slow down, where you can experience things with all your senses and work with your hands. We asked founding couple Susanne Bloch-Hänseler and Dani Bloch three questions about the unusual event location.

Who is behind AtelierFoif?
That's me, founder and owner Susanne Bloch-Hänseler. My husband, Dani Bloch, supports me in the background. However, AtelierFoif is supported by various course providers and producers with their know-how and passion. We attach great importance to sustainability in purchasing, production and preparation. It is also important to us to work practically and by hand and to incorporate our experiences into our own everyday life and household.

What makes your cooking courses so popular?
Baking, brewing and cooking are personal, almost intimate activities. Kneading a fragrant dough or slicing a sun-ripened tomato is pure sensuality. This experience is at the heart of our courses: the joy of high-quality products and the happiness of creating something nourishing together. With AtelierFoif, we have created a space in which people can try things out and experiment with relish. There is just as much room for grandiose failure in our cooking pots as there is for culinary flights of fancy.

Why is AtelierFoif suitable for business events?
The exclusive ambience is suitable for groups of up to approx. 20 people: On the one hand, for retreats or seminars that are combined with a shared cooking experience. Our cooking events are very popular: whether as team building or as a celebration with family and friends. Taking time to make something together from scratch fills you with satisfaction and strengthens a team. A cooking event combines lively exchanges, shared experiences in cooking and DIY and enjoyment in a relaxed atmosphere.
