"Winterthur has a strong economy and is comfortably grounded"
From May, Sven Corus will start at House of Winterthur as the new Head of Business Development. We asked the Bremen native three questions about his new position. In this short interview, he reveals what he is most looking forward to and what he associates with Winterthur.

From May, you will start in your new position at House of Winterthur as Head of Economic Development. What are you most looking forward to?
Sven Corus: I am most looking forward to working with the team and the various stakeholders in and around Winterthur, be they companies, associations, political bodies, scientific institutions or start-ups. Working with them to create added value for the entire economic region, but also for individual stakeholders if possible, is both a challenge and an incentive.
You are not personally from Winterthur, what do you associate with the city?
I have always perceived Winterthur as a dynamic city with a diverse cultural life, a strong economy and as pleasantly grounded. I am delighted to be able to contribute to this dynamic environment with my new role and to be part of this success story by moving to Winterthur.
Where would you like to focus in your new position as Head of Economic Development?
The Smart Health cluster and the positioning of Winterthur as a technology city with a unique environment will of course remain a focus. I would also like to use my event experience to bring the players in our diverse ecosystem even closer together and provide new impetus. Other exciting keywords are innovation, start-ups and food.
