"40 events and 1600 participants - impressive figures"

Our event manager Sabrina Mätzler organized 40 events this year, which were attended by a total of around 1600 people. In our short interview, she sums up this intensive year and explains how the event program will change next year.

You were responsible for organizing 40 House of Winterthur events in 2022. How would you sum up this year?
I am pleased to say that we have had a very successful event year. 40 events and around 1600 participants - I find these figures extremely impressive. I am particularly proud that we have created a new network in and for Winterthur with our events, which is being actively used. The cooperation with our partners has also worked extremely well. What I was personally pleased about this year was how quickly our "Tech Lunches" were fully booked. As part of these events, we visit technology companies in Winterthur. On the other hand, I would never have believed that so many people are already in top shape in the morning and are actively exchanging ideas at our "Morning Boost" events and taking part in the interactive program. I have to say that I'm also more of a night owl.

What was your personal highlight from all the events?
As a Winterthur resident, I am delighted to see that our city has a lot more to offer than I already thought. At the "House Culture" events, for example, we visited a wide range of cultural events in Winterthur. My personal highlight was the look behind the scenes of the Musikfestwochen and, above all, the view from the gallery onto the stage. The tee shot from the car into Eulachpark at our Urban Golf House Trophy was also spectacular.

What will happen with next year's events?
Based on our current experience, we have been able to see what works and what doesn't and can therefore optimize our programme for next year. We have added the "Smart Health" series to our calendar of events, where we visit companies from the healthcare sector and network the players with each other. In September, we are planning another highlight with the Swiss Green Tech Day. Participants will have the opportunity to visit several leading technology companies in a single afternoon.
