Mörsburg Castle

Mörsburg Castle is considered a cultural asset of national importance. It was first mentioned in 1241 as the property of the Counts of Kyburg and now belongs to the city of Winterthur. From the outside, visitors can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding region and the vineyards.

Historical museum
The medieval castle was first mentioned in 1241 as the property of the Counts of Kyburg and stands in a magnificent panoramic location. It has been open to the Historical Society as a museum for more than a hundred years.
The exhibition mainly shows domestic culture from the 17th and 18th centuries as well as ceramics, glassware and weapons. Art exhibitions, wine tastings and readings are also held there on a regular basis.

Seminars and events
If you are looking for a quiet place for a seminar, this is the place for you. The Herrensaal can also be hired out for private events.

Mörsburg Castle is located right next to the Schlosshalde restaurant to the north-east of Winterthur, where you can enjoy a delicious meal after your visit to the museum.
