Circus Chnopf - UFE

UFE is the latest production by Circus Chnopf, featuring 5 professionals and 5 teenagers and young performers between the ages of 14 and 23—performed outdoors.

Air is everything or nothing. It is the source of our life—invisible, often unnoticed, and yet essential. A single breath is enough to bring us into the world. But what happens when there is no air? When we have to find ways to create it in order to survive?

Circus Chnopf explores these questions through imagery, music, encounters, acrobatics, and dance. In our search for freedom and community, we swing our way through the poetic space between the ground and the air.

For UFE, we’ve explored the themes of the environment, crises, and the longing for lightness, and we’re taking you on a journey through challenges and poetic moments. The performance invites you to rediscover air as both a living space and a metaphor, and to experience how, much like on a swing, individual bodies can come together to create a shared breath.
