Theater am Gleis
The Theater am Gleis association was founded in 1979 with the aim of facilitating cultural events; in particular, it supported children’s theater, socially conscious cabaret, and emerging groups. Over the course of its more than 45 years of operation, Theater am Gleis has developed into a successful and prominent venue for touring productions in the region. Today, approximately 70 performances in the fields of theater, dance, music, and children’s theater are staged each season. Both the programming and the support for the performances are provided by a large number of volunteers who are passionate about theater, dance, and music. The venue can be rented on days when there are no performances scheduled.
