Winterthur artist Basil Girard surprises with new street art on the wall on Bahnmeisterweg near the Sulzer site

On Tuesday, July 6, 2021, the newly designed wall on Bahnmeisterweg on the Sulzer site was officially unveiled: Winterthur native Basil Girard was the first artist to be chosen by the five-member jury and won this year's House of Winterthur street art project competition. With his artwork, he interprets the green Winterthur and thus brings nature into the city.

The idea behind this year's street art project, which is being advertised for the first time, is to make local art visible in public spaces. Every year, local artists can apply for the eleven-by-two-meter wall - the next opportunity will be in spring 2022.
