"Night watchman" - new city tour provides insights into a Winterthur from times gone by

House of Winterthur launches the first night watchman tour in Winterthur. With horn, lantern and halberd, the night watchman will show participants special places in Winterthur on the one-hour city tour. They talk about the tasks, worries and experiences of the night watchman in the 18th and 19th centuries. The tour will be open to the public for the first time on October 6. The offer can also be booked as a private group tour.

Guided by the night watchman in historical costumes, participants travel back to the present day via seven stations. The new tour was created by House of Winterthur city guide Marcel Abplanalp together with the two city guides Trudi Neff and Hans Ryser.
