Record-High Tourism and Positive Annual Results for 2025

At its annual general meeting on June 23, 2026, House of Winterthur looked back on a successful 2025. In the tourism sector, a new record was set with 378,894 overnight stays, and the annual financial statements closed with a surplus of approximately CHF 58,000. In addition, there was a change on the board. Mayor Michael Künzle stepped down as a board member, and the future mayor, Stefan Fritschi, was newly elected.

The year 2025 was a success for House of Winterthur in several respects: After several years in the red, the annual financial statements closed with a surplus of approximately CHF 58,000. At the same time, the Winterthur tourism region set a new record with 378,894 overnight stays. The secured financial support from the City of Winterthur through the service agreement covering 2026 to 2029 is also a strong sign of the region’s sustainable development.
