Winter concert by the Winterthur Symphony Orchestra

On behalf of the Winterthur Symphony Orchestra, we would like to extend our warmest greetings to you for the new year. "C'est le ton, qui fait la musique" – as the French proverb says. How something is performed determines how it is received.
"C'est le ton, qui fait la musique": in Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major, this is truly a highly virtuosic challenge for the soloist!
Join us at the winter concerts to experience how Winterthur violinist Bogdan Božović captivates us with his joy of playing and plays even the most demanding passages with ease, making it a pleasure for the conductor and orchestra to accompany this solo concerto.
After the intermission, the Winterthur Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Georg Sonnleitner, will transport the audience into the vast sound world of late Tchaikovsky.
"C'est le ton, qui fait la musique" – What a passionate tonal space opens up here: on the one hand, beguilingly beautiful motifs and soundscapes, and on the other, hard, unstoppable rhythms and harmonies that captivate you and make it almost impossible to escape: Tchaikovsky masterfully interwove both in his 6th Symphony "Pathétique," putting a great deal of himself into it.
