THE NEINHORN
Defiance is also fun together
Always speaking in rhyme, not breaking any rules and smiling sweetly? Better not! The Neinhorn says "No" to his unicorn family in the heart forest and breaks out. On his very own path, he meets the Was-Bear, the Na-Dog and the King's Daughter. Together, the four of them return to the heart forest and are a bit stubborn together. Because even that is more fun together.
In this play, the Figurentheater Winterthur delights with a playful, fast-paced and unconventional adaptation of the 2019 picture book "Das Neinhorn". Marc-Uwe Kling's witty wordplay forms the main element of the production. The stage set features letters of different sizes, which - constantly rearranged - serve as a playing surface, backdrop and prop. Using these stage elements, the play demonstrates the desire to play and thematizes being different, happiness and one's own will. The play is performed with table figures in an open style.
